Rick Grimes, trapped under the tank in Atlanta, finds a hatch and emerges into a world overrun by walkers.
He's fortunate to encounter Glenn Rhee, a young Korean-American survivor who offers him refuge in a nearby department store.

The group discovers their escape route via the sewer system is blocked by walkers.
Rick spots a box truck that could be their ticket to freedom.
Desperation breeds a daring plan - Rick and Glenn coat themselves in walker guts to mask their scent and blend in with the horde.
A moral dilemma arises: Can they survive by essentially becoming like the monsters they fight?

The remaining group, led by Rick, heads towards the survivor camp, unaware of the emotional complexities awaiting them at their destination.
